About This Spot

Stepping into China Dragon in the heart of Moulton feels like settling into a well-loved neighborhood spot where familiar faces and warm smiles quietly set the tone. The pace here is unhurried, inviting guests to take a moment away from the day’s rush and ease into comfortable conversation over a meal meant to be savored.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and welcoming, with the subtle hum of conversation weaving through the details—the clink of chopsticks, the gentle shuffle of serving plates, and the occasional laughter that makes this more than just a place to eat. It’s the kind of restaurant where the owners’ presence is felt, greeting diners with genuine care and a readiness to ensure each plate is both hot and ample.

China Dragon’s dining experience unfolds with a thoughtful assortment of offerings that reflect classic Chinese flavors, from vibrant stir-fried vegetables to richly sauced specialties and ample seafood dishes. Whether exploring the expansive lunch buffet or choosing from combination plates and chef’s creations, there’s a comforting sense of familiarity here, as if the recipes have been quietly perfected to suit the local rhythm.

While not every dish hits every note perfectly every visit—reflecting the human side of a small, cherished establishment—the overall feeling remains one of hearty satisfaction. It’s a place where generous portions and attention to warmth on the table matter just as much as the flavors themselves.

For those looking to linger a while and share a simple meal filled with honest touches, China Dragon stands as a quietly steady option in the community, offering more than just food but a chance to pause and connect.

My brother and I ate there yesterday and I didn't take a photo sorry we both ate off of the buffet and it was really good. I had the shrimp with vegetables ,beef stir fry, fried shrimp, sesame chicken and the salad bar. l I thought it was a little steep on pricing for a lunch portion it was almost $40 on a Sunday afternoon... it's been awhile since I've been out to eat so maybe that's just the going rate , last time I had Chinese it was $4.95 for a large helping but I would definitely recommend it, service was excellent , atmosphere was great and I can't complain about the food.

Husband and I ate here the other night. Pricing was reasonable, service was good, food was alright. Crab rangoon weren’t right- they were a very weird goopy texture and sweet in flavor. Would try them again to see if they just had an off day but couldn’t eat them this time around. Chow mein noodles were too soft and over cooked for me but my husband liked them. Mozzarella sticks were warm but not hot enough to be stringy and yummy. Loved the Chinese donuts and shrimp dishes. Egg drop soup and sesame chicken were alright. Didn’t hate the egg rolls and general tso’s chicken but they just didn’t hit the mark flavor wise. They have various American types of food as well like wings, chicken tender, etc. Which is good for those with picky kids. Different types of desserts and ice cream too. It’s nice having a buffet with some variety in such a small town but would love to see improvements to the food and environment as time progresses.
